We had three different houses winning this year. For Year 7 it was Castle; Year 8 winners were Northgate; Year 9 winners were Friary. Overall winning students are those who obtain the highest number of points overall with all of the events combined. The winners were as follows:
Year 7 girl – Jess DaviesYear 7 boy- Jamie Malhado
Year 8 girl – Emily Harper
Year 8 boy – Joe Davies
Year 9 girl – Ruth Shaw
Year 9 boy – Josh Merrett
Very well done to those competitors.
Some of our students have made it into our record books. Vicki Bailey has set a new school record for the 80 metre hurdles, at 15.31 seconds. Jess Davies has set two new school records. For the High Jump her new height is 1.30m. Jess also broke the 300 metres record setting a new time of 52.37 seconds. The previous record had stood for 16 years, and was set in 1994 by Claire Cadwalladar.
